Alessi Fitness for Kids Nutrition Program

Members of Alessi Fitness for Kids enjoy a nutrition education curriculum as a standard component to their fitness program. Everything from sports nutrition, food types, healthy eating out, basic cooking lessons and more are included as part of the regular curriculum!

Additionally, members and parents are offered various monthly nutrition events, such as workshops & seminars. Tips, advice and practical information is provided to help create a healthy approach to eating for the family!

Membership includes fun activities and demonstrations that are designed by nutrition expert Dr. Derek

Our approach to teaching nutrition is entertaining and fun -- using hands-on, creative ways to stress the importance of eating healthy. With games like "The Lunch Trey Relay" and "Race to Protein Peak" your children are learning that play and healthy eating can go hand in hand.

Although weight is an issue for many, we do not put emphasis on weight or weight loss; nor do we place kids on diets. In fact, there is not a scale in sight. Instead, we instill healthy attitudes about food and promote a positive body image.

We teach them that through making good choices, eating healthy (most of the time!) and exercising, their bodies will naturally become healthy and strong. They will look and feel better about themselves. This in turn, helps them to accomplish more in school, on the playground, and at home.

Parents are included in our fitness and nutrition orientation to learn how to follow the Alessi Fitness formula for a healthy family. A nutrition seminar, fun activities and demonstrations are included.
